Max Anton provides live snails for feature films and music videos, following in the footsteps of his friend, the legendary Hollywood bug man, Steven Kutcher.
In 2020, Max worked as the snail wrangler on the set of Adrian Lyne's Deep Water. He collected over 1500 snails from 4 states for this production. Read about it here:

If you need live snails for a film, I'm your guy.
You can reach me at the email address below.
IMPORTANT— I do NOT keep more than a few live snails on hand at any given time. The snails must be collected ahead of the shoot. Please give me at least 3 weeks' advance notice before production begins.
In May of 2025, Max was asked to source a large volume of snails for a music video in Los Angeles featuring Bon Iver. 500 snails were collected ahead of the shoot. Sadly, the project was cancelled shortly before filming was scheduled to begin, and the snails were returned to where they were found. Thankfully, snails don't get too upset when their scenes get cut.
In April of 2026, Max provided snails for a music video project in North Carolina. The project is currently in post-production and details may not be shared at this time. The video will be posted here when it is made public.
